Carlos Yannacañedo began performing professionally at age 14 and has performed throughout Europe, Canada, Mexico, and the United States, both as a dancer and as a musician. As a member of TANGO A MEDIA LUZ, Carlos was dance captain and assistant under Tango great, Pampa Cortes. Carlos was in the cast of SWANGO:THE FUSION, was guest choreographer for ATREVETE DANCE COMPANY, and performed in the show TANGO Y VIDA. Carlos was in the world premiere of TANGO DU JOUR, and performed in FUSION TANGO. He has performed in legendary venues from coast to coast, from LINCOLN CENTER in New York City, to THE PALACE OF FINE ARTS in San Francisco. Carlos was invited to teach for the Joffrey Ballet School in New York City. He has worked with Jennifer Lopez, director Spike Jonez, and has trained many Broadway Stars, including members of the world famous ROCKETTES. This year, Carlos performed in Mexico with LATIN DANCE CARNIVAL, in Germany with the SUDWESTFALEN PHILHARMONIC, and at New York's prestigious TOWN HALL in TANGOS POUR LA MILONGA.
Carlos also played in the seminal punk band THE PEECHEES from 1994 to 1998, putting out three full length albums on the KILL ROCK STARS label and singles on various labels, including LOOKOUT! RECORDS and SUBPOP. Carlos is a featured artist in the documentary "SONGS FOR CASSAVETES".

Every course will concentrate on a specific fundamental technique, resuming in a figure to add to your Tango repertoire, such as Sacadas, Enrosques, Boleos, and many more. A strong understanding of Beginner Tango technique is required.
FRIDAYS (FEB 10-MAR 17)
(ALL LEVELS) MILONGA & VALS 8:00-9:00PM
Learn to dance to these popular tango rhythms. This course will teach you the fundamentals of milonga and vals, and to execute popular figures in both genres. NOTE: Due to TANGO FIRST CENTURY, there will be no class February 17th. The class will be made up Friday, March 24.th
